Angelina Jolie’s Daughter, Zahara;
Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt, Angelina Jolie’s daughter, is presently busy figuring things out and carving out a name for herself, just like any other young college student. However, it seems that “Pitt” is no longer part of her name.
The mother-of-six attended a luncheon on the Spelman College campus in Atlanta, Georgia on Thursday, accompanied by her two oldest children, Maddox and Pax, to honor their sister becoming one of the newest members of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. Zahara chose not to use her father’s last name when she joined her sorority, even though Jolie and her ex-husband Brad Pitt are parents to all six of her children, including the three present.
Just one day earlier, in a video that Essence posted (see it here), the 18-year-old seemed to renounce her nickname, Pitt, as she made her announcement to the Mu Pi chapter of the AKA sorority. “I’m Zahara Marley Jolie,” she introduced herself. “I am the number seven on this line, coming all the way from the Golden State in the city full of angels, Los Angeles, California.”
Angie is really happy for Zahara, a source close to Angelina—who also has children with Pitt—told Essence. Her decision to work hard, her desire to serve others, and her desire to join the AKA sisterhood—one of the many outstanding HCBU sororities—all make an impression on me. The fact that Angie’s brothers were present to encourage her and to congratulate all the other girls meant a great deal to them.
