Vidyut was born on December 10, 1980, in Jammu, Kashmir, India. He comes from a military family; his father served as an officer in the Indian Army. Due to his father’s profession, Vidyut had to move around a lot as a child which exposed him to various Indian cultures and settings. Vidyut was drawn to physical fitness and martial arts from a very young age. His mother placed him in an ashram in Kerala, where he started learning the age-old Indian martial technique of Kalaripayattu.
